Terms of use

Short version: play the quiz, don't abuse the leaderboard, and don't treat anything here as authoritative enough to skip checking it yourself.

Using the site

No account is needed and nothing costs money. You may not use automated tools to submit scores, flood the leaderboard, or otherwise interfere with the site working for other people.

What you post

Clearing four rounds unlocks a one-line note attached to your leaderboard entry. You are responsible for what you put there. Keep it out of the following territory:

  • Illegal content, or anything promoting illegal activity
  • Harassment, hate speech, or attacks on individuals or groups
  • Adult content
  • Malware, phishing, or links intended to deceive
  • Impersonating a person or company you do not represent
  • Bulk or automated promotion

Entries can be hidden or deleted at any time, with or without notice, and no explanation is owed. That is a deliberately broad power, because the alternative on a small site with no moderation team is to leave abuse up while a policy is drafted.

Notes are displayed as plain text and links in them are not clickable. That is not an oversight — it makes the board useless for search ranking, which keeps it useful for actual players.

Accuracy

The quiz answers and company profiles are based on publicly available engineering blog posts, conference talks and open-source projects. They are written carefully and they still go out of date, because companies migrate and rewrite things without telling anyone.

Where a fact describes a historical decision rather than a current one, the explanation should say so. Treat everything here as a starting point worth verifying, not as a citable source. If you spot something wrong, say so — that is genuinely helpful.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, correct, or free of bugs. It is a side project, not a service you are paying for, and it may change or disappear.

Content ownership

The questions, explanations and articles on this site were written for it. Quoting a bit with attribution is fine; wholesale copying of the question bank is not. Trademarks and company names belong to their respective owners and are used here descriptively — none of these companies are affiliated with this site or have endorsed it.
